We have decided to go where the people are, so we are spreading our ministry in and around Hyannis and beyond, as well as continuing to do some work in our South Dennis location. Centering prayer is up and running at St. Mary’s Episcoapl Church in Barnstable Village. Pastor Carol continues to do addictions counseling and spiritual guidance and is part of a new ministry in Hyannis called Common Cathedral on the Village Green . This is an outdoor church every Sunday at 1pm. All are welcome.
In April we will bring back Mindfull Recovery at the Cape Cod Zen Center on Tuesday evenings. Dates and time to be determined.
We established Open Door in October 2010 and officially opened our doors on March 5, 2011, as a place that serves all: Christian, non-believers, the undecided, practioners of mindfulness meditation, Buddhists, and seekers. We are a GLBT mission. We are delveloping a path of recovery from addiction . Recovery can be from anything: alcohol and other drugs, co-dependency, gambling, sex and love addiction, marijuana, trauma, adult children, etc.
While it is not possible to be all things for all people, we can be a source of companionship, complementing what you already receive and be a source of referral to those things that will make your life healthier, happier, and more fulfilling.
